Senior Civil Engineer – Sevenoaks | £50–60k (DOE) | Hybrid
I’m working with a respected civil and infrastructure consultancy based in Sevenoaks, who are looking to add a Senior Civil Engineer to their growing team. The company delivers a wide range of development infrastructure projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors, with a strong reputation for quality and technical expertise.
💼 The Role
You’ll play a key role in leading the design and delivery of adoptable highways and drainage infrastructure schemes, taking projects from feasibility through to detailed design. Responsibilities include:
* Designing and delivering schemes under Sections 278, 38, and 104 agreements
* Preparing detailed highway and drainage designs using Civil 3D and MicroDrainage (or similar software)
* Leading technical delivery and checking design work of junior engineers/technicians
* Liaising with clients, local authorities, and statutory bodies to secure approvals
* Supporting fee proposals and managing project budgets
🧠 About You
* 5+ years’ experience in civil or infrastructure design within a consultancy environment
* Proven understanding of adoptable drainage and highway design standards
* Confident with software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and MicroDrainage
* Excellent communication and report-writing skills
* Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering (or similar), ideally working toward or chartered with ICE/CIHT
