Field Service Engineer (Laundry / White Goods)
Bristol
Salary and benefits: Up to £39,000 plus overtime (1.5× Monday to Saturday, 2× Sunday, approx £4,000 – £6,000 extra), call‑out (≈6% weekends), monthly bonus scheme, 28 days holiday, 8 bank holidays, company pension, private medical, company vehicle, mobile phone, tablet.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week. Work radius: 1–1.5 hours from home, averaging 3–4 jobs per day. Works with 3‑phase electrics.
Role
The Field Service Engineer will:
* Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs and maintenance on a full range of laundry equipment
* Attend reactive breakdowns and provide routine maintenance to commercial laundry equipment at customer sites
* Work towards a first‑time‑fix target of upwards of 85%
* Adhere to preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules
* Possibly work on industrial equipment based on experience and training
Candidate profile
* Electromechanical background in white goods or similar
* Gas qualified or willing to train
* Experience with 3‑phase electrics
* Able to dead test and carry out safe isolation
* Efficient at rectifying breakdowns and accurate in following PPM schedules
