An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to take the helm of a well-loved small animal practice in St Helens – a role perfect for a motivated vet ready to leave their mark on a clinic with deep community roots. This practice may have a compact layout, with one consult room and a small theatre, but it’s equipped with all the core diagnostic tools and packed with character – the ideal canvas for someone with a clear clinical vision and the ambition to shape its future.
Responsibilities

The Role
The new Lead Vet will be stepping into a role with huge potential for growth and development, offering the chance to not only lead but also to drive change and innovation, creating a practice that reflects their ethos and standards of care. You’ll bring at least five years’ UK small animal experience, strong general practice skills, and the confidence to work sole charge, as well as the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop a supportive team around you.
Rota
* Full time position
* 4 or 5 day week
* 1:6 weekends
* Open to part time hours for the right candidate

Requirements
* At least five years’ UK small animal experience with strong general practice skills
* Confidence to work sole charge and lead a team
* Ability to inspire, mentor, and develop a supportive team around you
* Interest in medicine and leadership; PgCert in soft tissue or orthopaedics is a bonus but not essential
