Responsibilities
As an Audit Senior, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services to a diverse portfolio of clients. You will be expected to:
* Lead on-site audits for a variety of client types and sizes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
* Plan and execute audit assignments from beginning to end with minimal supervision.
* Supervise junior team members, providing guidance and reviewing their work.
* Liaise directly with clients, building strong relationships and providing clear communication throughout engagements.
* Prepare audit reports and supporting documentation in line with audit standards and firm procedures.
* Identify and report on potential risks or control weaknesses, offering practical solutions.
* Collaborate with managers and partners to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.
* Contribute to internal team meetings and help support business development initiatives as needed.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will typically have:
* ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification (qualified or finalist level).
* Proven experience in a similar Audit Senior role within a UK accountancy practice.
* Strong technical knowledge of audit and accounting standards (UK GAAP, FRS 102).
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Experience in mentoring or supervising junior staff is highly desirable.
* A proactive, solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
