Purpose
Lead the design, development, implementation, and optimisation of audio and video systems across both legacy and cloud‑based environments. Ensure high performance, reliability, and innovation in all A/V processing infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, deploy, and support Audio & Video processing systems for broadcast and satellite communications.
* Install, test, and troubleshoot A/V solutions to maximise performance and availability.
* Act as Design Authority for A/V processing, ensuring end‑to‑end solution integrity.
* Drive standardisation and seamless integration of new technologies into existing infrastructure.
* Lead and mentor engineers, providing technical guidance and acting as an escalation point for complex issues.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Product, Network Engineering, and Operations to deliver robust and scalable A/V solutions.
* Manage third‑party suppliers to ensure adherence to specifications, standards, and timelines.
* Support migration and integration projects for both on‑premise and cloud‑based systems.
* Stay current with industry trends, recommending improvements and innovations.
* Contribute to accurate forecasting, capacity planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Expertise
* Strong knowledge of audio and video processing principles and industry standards.
* Proficiency in encoding, multiplexing, and diagnostic tools.
* Experience with virtualisation and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Experience managing multiple technical projects or workstreams.
Experience & Qualifications
* Proven track record in Audio & Video processing engineering and system integration.
* Hands‑on experience with cloud technologies and virtualised A/V solutions.
* Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
* Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience preferred.
