Our client, a prominent entity in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a skilled HR Advisor to join their team. This contract role within the Maritime Services business unit offers a unique opportunity to contribute to critical projects in a hybrid working arrangement, requiring 2-3 days on site per week at Broad Oak.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing comprehensive HR advice and support to business units within the Maritime Services sector
Managing employee relations issues and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures
Supporting recruitment processes, including interviews and onboarding of new staff
Advising on performance management, employee development, and retention strategies
Maintaining up-to-date records and HR documentation
Collaborating with managers to address workforce challenges and develop effective HR solutions
Ensuring all HR activities comply with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the HR function
Job Requirements:
Significant experience in HR advisory roles, ideally within the Defence & Security sector
Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office applications
Experience with employee relations and conflict resolution
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Security clearance level BPSS + SC in Flight
