Job Role: Overnight Security and Facilities Officer
Location: Picadilly, London
Employment: PAYE
Remuneration: £22 per hour (up to £352 per shift)
Shifts: Average 175-200 hours per month (3-4 shifts per week)
Pension: 3% employer / 5% employee
About the Role
Marengo is recruiting a professional and reliable Overnight Security and Facilities Officer to join our team. This is a dual-role position covering two adjacent premium office buildings, requiring both traditional security responsibilities and day-to-day facilities support. This lone-working role covers nights and weekends on a rotational basis, with 12–16 hour shifts. We are looking for self-motivated individuals with strong initiative, vigilance, and the ability to manage incidents calmly and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Security:
o Monitor CCTV system
o Manage access control
o Conduct regular internal/external patrols
o Responds to incidents, alarms and emergencies
o Provide first aid if required
o Ensure a safe, secure environment across the site including during office events
Facilities support:
o Restock fridges and kitchen areas
o Replenish office amenities and supplies
o Assist with light day-to-day operational support to keep the offices running smoothly
Client Service:
o Provide professional and welcoming presence for any overnight staff or visitors
o Sign in/out and monitor all after-hours contractors
Requirements
o Must be ex-British Army or Police
o Valid SIA Security Guard License
o Ability to work independently
o Good knowledge of health and safety and emergency procedures
o Two professional referees required
