The Works
As a 2nd Head Chef, you’ll be a vital part of the kitchen leadership team, supporting your Head Chef and stepping up when needed. You will help deliver dishes to spec every time, lead a team, and contribute to kitchen profitability and performance with consistency and pride.
You will be responsible for:
* Leading the kitchen team to deliver high standards during service.
* Supporting rota efficiency and managing kitchen GP.
* Helping maintain stock levels and control.
* Mentoring, developing, and motivating chefs at every level.
* Running daily briefings in the Head Chef’s absence.
* Ensuring full compliance with health & food safety standards.
* Creating an open, honest kitchen culture where people thrive.
* Building strong communication between kitchen and FOH teams.
This is a hands‑on role for someone with energy, leadership skills, and a love of consistency and creativity in equal measure.
We are looking for great chefs that are:
* Enthusiastic, experienced, and team-focused.
* Detail‑obsessed and committed to quality at every level.
* Confident working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume kitchen.
* Comfortable with ordering, rota planning, and GP control.
