Job Title: Engineering Manager – Fire Systems

Overview:
We’re looking for a technically strong Engineering Manager to lead a team of around 50 fire engineers across projects, service, and maintenance. You’ll be the go-to escalation point, ensuring technical excellence, smooth delivery, and high standards across all operations.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, support, and develop engineers across installation, commissioning, service, and maintenance.
* Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex issues.
* Oversee performance, safety, and compliance with BS 5839 and industry standards.
* Drive training, mentoring, and apprenticeship development.
* Plan resources effectively to meet project and service targets.
* Champion technical excellence, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
About You:
* Experienced leader with a fire systems engineering background.
* Strong knowledge of leading fire alarm systems (Gent, Hochiki, Advanced, Kentec, etc.).
* Confident fault-finder and problem-solver.
* Proven experience managing large engineering teams.
* FIA-trained or equivalent qualifications preferred.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
