Job Title: Incident Technician – Sales & Trading Support Location: London, UK Job Summary We are looking for an Incident Technician to support critical Sales & Trading environments within a financial services organization. The role involves managing production incidents, monitoring trading applications, and ensuring minimal downtime during business hours. You will work closely with Front Office users, application support teams, and infrastructure teams to maintain system stability. Key Responsibilities • Provide Level 1 / Level 2 support for Sales & Trading applications • Monitor production systems and respond to alerts and incidents • Perform incident triage, troubleshooting, and resolution • Act as first point of contact for traders and front-office users • Log, track, and manage incidents using ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy, JIRA, etc.) • Escalate issues to Level 3 support teams when required • Conduct root cause analysis and support problem management activities • Ensure adherence to SLAs and operational procedures • Prepare incident reports and maintain documentation • Support release validation and post-deployment checks • Provide support during high-impact trading windows • Participate in on-call / shift-based support (if required) Technical Skills Required • Knowledge of Capital Markets / Sales & Trading environments • Experience with incident management and production support • Understanding of FIX Protocol (preferred) • Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix commands • Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and troubleshooting • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Geneos, Splunk, AppDynamics, etc.) • Experience with ticketing tools (ServiceNow, JIRA, Remedy, etc.) • Knowledge of ITIL processes Soft Skills • Strong communication and stakeholder management • Ability to work under pressure in high-impact environments • Analytical and problem-solving mindset • Team-player with ownership attitude
