The Multi‑Skilled Contractor will provide high‑quality building, installation, and maintenance services across a range of properties. This role requires expertise in carpentry, bathroom and wet‑room installation, kitchen fitting, and general building works. The contractor will support the Estates team by delivering responsive repairs, planned works, and ensuring all tasks meet required safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
4. Carry out skilled carpentry works including repairs, installations, and bespoke fittings
5. Complete full bathroom installations, including wet‑room construction, tiling, plumbing connections, and finishing
6. Install kitchens to a high standard, including units, worktops, appliances, and associated carpentry
7. Undertake general building works such as plastering, minor plumbing, basic electrical tasks, and structural repairs
8. Respond promptly to maintenance and repair requests across multiple sites
9. Deliver planned and preventative maintenance to minimise breakdowns and maintain property standards
10. Liaise with the Estates Manager and other contractors to coordinate works efficiently
11. Maintain accurate records of completed tasks, materials used, and time spent
12. Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations and company policies
13. Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good working order
14. Report major issues, hazards, or structural concerns to management
15. Provide out‑of‑hours support when required
16. Always consider the wellbeing and safety of all persons within the service
17. Carry out any other reasonable tasks requested by management
Requirements and Qualifications
18. Proven experience in carpentry, bathroom fitting, kitchen installation, and general building
19. Strong practical knowledge of plumbing, basic electrics, and construction methods
20. Ability to safely use a wide range of hand and power tools
21. Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
22. Physically capable of performing manual labour, lifting, and working in varied environments
23. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
24. Relevant trade certifications or technical training (preferred but not essential)
