The Role: As our Learning Manager Media, Digital and Computing you will support commercial businesses and public sector organizations in recruiting and training skilled employees, magnifying and extending Crea8TECH's impact. The Learning Manager will also maintain and develop partnerships with universities, schools, colleges, and training providers to create valuable opportunities and support the local community through arts, charitable work, and partnerships. The Learning Manager's role will be underpinned by four core themes: Diversity, Sustainability, Digital Technology, and Leadership. These themes are integrated into the curriculum to promote awareness, action, and critical reflection. The curriculum design, guided by principles of innovation, relevance, and inclusivity, offers diverse courses and pathways to meet individual learning needs, ensuring Crea8TECH remains at the forefront of educational excellence. Responsibilities as our Learning Manager Media, Digital and Computing : Subject specialist teaching Expand the current HE curriculum Develop and expand the apprenticeship offer Lead the delivery of an outstanding student experience Support and manage the implementation of quality improvements within curriculum delivery Manage, organise and motivate staff to ensure they meet their contractual duties Monitor key indicators (e.g. in year retention, attendance, learner progress) to track performance and act where required to resolve issues Lead the creation of areas annual self-assessment review, then develop and manage the implementation of the quality improvement plan in a timely and effective manner Lead and manage staff, set clear objectives, carry out regular 1:2:1 meetings and appraisals, and support continual personal development Lead and participate in team meetings and be an active member of the college management team Manage day to day occurrences to maintain a good quality student experience Amend timetables for staff and students to ensure parameters and funding requirements are met Ensure the curriculum delivery develops employability skills Liaise with the Student Support team and ensure effective strategies are in place to ensure student retention Ensure college systems are used effectively by team members e.g. Promonitor Champion the promotion of positive student behaviour and implement the student disciplinary process where appropriate Compile data and carry out analysis/reporting regarding students Provide academic and pastoral support to students if necessary and making referrals where required Lead, organise and attend parents evenings and open events As our Learning Manager Media, Digital and Computing, youll ideally have: A degree level qualification A teaching qualification relevant to post-16 education Evidence of relevant continued professional development and/or training An excellent teacher / lecturer with a track record of success Leadership experience in industry or education Effectively building and leading teams to success Successful curriculum management, development and innovation Strategic planning and implementation An understanding of issues that may impact student engagement with education and their learning A broad understanding of national education policy which reflects opportunities and challenges within the current post-16, adult, higher apprenticeship landscape Benefits you will receive: You will receive excellent benefits and a competitive salary: 27.5 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 30.5 after 5 years' service up to 4 days additional leave during the Christmas closure period Free parking at all of our college sites (where spaces are available) Access to Discount Schemes at multiple retailers Enrolment into the NEST Pension Scheme Closing Date: 22nd September 2024 We reserve the right to close this post early if there is a high level of applicants.
