Production Manager - Food Production

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Manager to join a successful and growing food manufacturing business during an exciting period of expansion. This role offers the chance to lead high‑performing teams, shape production processes and make a real impact within a fast‑moving environment.
Key responsibilities
* Lead and oversee production activities to achieve targets across output, quality and cost
* Ensure a robust food safety and compliance culture
* Manage and develop production teams, providing coaching, feedback and ongoing support
* Work closely with Operations Manager to maintain smooth coordination between departments
* Implement and champion continuous improvement initiatives, reducing waste and enhancing efficiency
* Use KPIs such as OEE, yield, and downtime to identify improvement opportunities
* Maintain accurate production data and prepare reports for senior leadership
About you
* Experience as a Production Manager or senior production leader in food manufacturing
* Solid working knowledge of HACCP, BRC and food safety regulations
* Strong communication, leadership and team development skills
* Ability to problem solve and remain calm under pressure
* A continuous improvement mindset with a track record of delivering results
* Comfortable working with data, KPIs and ERP / production systems
