Your new company A leader in their field based in Stoke-on-Trent is looking for a Junior Costings Officer on a temporary ongoing basis. Your new role Your new role will be a fast-paced role and will include but not be limited to: Assist in producing product cost and financial information, in line with Cost and Management Accounting principles. Help prepare and reconcile stock valuation information in accordance with accounting standards. Provide support to senior colleagues with cost and margin analysis. Assist in maintaining the database of sourced product purchases. Contribute to the weekly analysis of stock and production data. Support the Finance team in analysing Perpetual Inventory information and follow up on any actions. Assist with the preparation of journals and reports used in monthly management accounts. Provide ad-hoc analysis and administrative support to the Finance team as required. Key Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems would be advantageous but not essential. Strong diligence and accuracy. What you'll need to succeed As a Junior Costing Officer, you will provide support to the Costing Officer and Finance Business Partner - Operations in ensuring the accurate and timely provision of cost information. You will be highly adaptable and be able to self-motivate in a hybrid working environment. You will have a keen eye for detail and a positive, 'can-do' attitude to working.
