We are located in a purpose-built HQ on the Holmethorpe Industrial Estate in Redhill, Surrey.
Job Description
We are looking for someone to join us in our busy sales team, in a fixed-term maternity leave cover position. Ideally incorporating a 2-month handover, the position would commence in November 2025, and complete in December 2026, lasting approximately 14 months.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, this position plays a vital role in the smooth operation of our sales process.
* Sales Support – Acting as a key point of contact for new and existing customers, building successful, long-term customer relationships. You will work to satisfy customers' needs and requests, respond to queries, process orders, and aspire to deliver a positive customer experience.
For the right candidate with marketing skills, experience or qualifications, this role can also be expanded to incorporate marketing responsibilities.
* Marketing – supporting the company's marketing strategy, including developing and producing effective social media, email, and website-based marketing content.
The job involves:
Sales Support Administration:
* Responding promptly and professionally to emails, phone calls and web enquiries in a timely and efficient manner from a portfolio of existing customers.
* Accurately processing incoming orders from new and existing customers via phone, email, and our website.
* Accurately processing and updating sales orders on the CRM system.
* Responding to customer enquiries, complaints and requests.
* Creating and issuing delivery notes and associated delivery documentation.
* Developing strong positive relationships with customers and acting as the point of contact, handling important, existing and new, customers' individual needs.
* Providing the liaison between customers and British Wax to enable products to be correctly labelled, packaged and compliant with all relevant regulations and legislation.
* Coordinating and despatching samples to prospective and existing customers
* Resolving conflicts and providing solutions to customers in a timely manner by working closely with production, purchasing and administration personnel.
* Maintaining detailed accurate records of customer information, sales activities, and lead information in the CRM system.
* Any other ad-hoc sales and administrative tasks as required by the business.
Marketing (optional):
* Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns.
* Write and schedule content for email marketing, website updates, and social media.
* Support product launches, seasonal promotions, and trade show preparation.
* Manage the creation and updating of marketing materials (brochures, labels, samples).
* Track marketing activity and prepare basic performance reports.
* There may be opportunity to attend trade fairs, show and events.
Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in sales administration or an office-based customer service role.
* Excellent customer service skills with the ability to quickly build rapport and trust.
* Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
* Proficient at using CRM and ERP systems, preferably SAP Business One.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Highly organised with the ability to multitask and prioritise.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently.
If the role is to include marketing:
* Marketing qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role
* Highly proficient in a variety of software and apps, particularly Canva and Mailchimp and publishing content on social media platforms such as Instagram and LinkedIn.
* Creative, with the ability to develop engaging and relevant content.
Job Type: Full-time, fixed term
Contract: A 14-Month (approx.) fixed-term maternity leave cover, incorporating a 2-month handover, commencing November 2025 and completing in December 2026.
Salary: Range of £29,000pa to £34,000pa, depending on experience and if marketing responsibilities are to be included
Hours: 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
Annual Leave: 23 days paid holiday per calendar year, excluding bank holidays
