Physiotherapy Technical Instructor Medicine

We are looking for a motivated Band 3 Physiotherapy Technical Instructor to join our well-established Medical Physiotherapy team at St Richard's Hospital, Chichester.
The role involves working as part of the Medical Physiotherapy Team to provide a high-quality and comprehensive therapy service to patients. This includes working with adults with various conditions, such as frailty, dementia, falls, and amputees.
Chichester is a beautiful historic city situated near the South Downs National Park, the sea, and with excellent transport links to London and across Southern England. You will be joining a strong and supportive Physiotherapy team within the top-performing University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. Main duties of the job
* Work as part of a Physiotherapy Team to provide a high-quality and comprehensive therapy service to patients.
* Work independently and as part of a team.
* Carry out appropriate assessments and treatments of patients within your scope of practice and under supervision of qualified staff, with a variety of conditions, including complex cases.
* Develop treatment plans and carry out treatments for patients with diverse and complex needs. Evaluate these sessions and modify approaches as needed.
* Work with adults with varied conditions, including frailty, dementia, falls, and amputees.
* Provide regular feedback to Physiotherapists regarding patients' progress.
* Participate in data collection and audits to monitor the service, including statistical collation and outcome measures used by the team.
* Assist with clerical and administrative tasks required to deliver an efficient, high-quality service.

Person Specification
Essential and desirable
* Understanding of the Physiotherapy profession and role.
* Experience working in a team.
* Ability to follow oral and written instructions; fluent in English.
* Ability to handle emotional, distressed, or aggressive patients.
* Effective communication skills with patients, relatives, doctors, and MDT colleagues.
* Organizational and prioritization skills.
* Recognize own limitations and seek advice when needed.
* Basic IT and administrative skills.
* Health care-related qualification at NVQ level 3 within the last 5 years.
* Basic understanding and experience with patients having specific conditions or disabilities.
* Basic understanding of exercise rehabilitation.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development (e.g., portfolio, CPD).
