Tesco Shift Leader - Days - Windsor Bridge Express
Location: Tesco Peasedown St John, England, United Kingdom
Pay: Start at £14.76 per hour, rising to £15.97 for stores inside M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
Minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with opportunities for 12–16 hours. We provide availability windows to accommodate flexibility.

Role Overview
Customers are at the heart of everything we do. As a Shift Leader you will help keep the store running smoothly, support your colleagues, and provide excellent service to customers.
Responsibilities
* Work in a fast‑paced retail environment.
* Take ownership of running duty shifts and coordinate the team to deliver a clean, well‑stocked store that exceeds customer expectations.
* Be there for customers, listening to them and ensuring they leave the store with what they came for.
* Look for ways to improve service, including coaching colleagues and providing feedback.
* Guide and support your colleagues in‑store to keep the workplace safe.
* Maintain a great understanding of store performance and assist managers in improving store operations.
* Lead from the front and set a great example for your colleagues.
* Coordinating the store team to deliver an easy, fuss‑free shopping experience.
* Supporting colleagues, ensuring they meet daily priorities and take regular breaks.
* Opening and closing the store, completing duty cover, and ensuring decisions are safe.
* Acting as the go‑to person for colleagues in the absence of a manager.
* Keeping the store clean, tidy, and well‑presented.
* Supporting managers to coordinate seasonal, community, and charity events.
* Contributing to a great team atmosphere inclusive of everyone.
* Providing great customer service by listening to customers.
* Communicating changes and updates to the team.
* Staying knowledgeable about store performance and seeking improvements.
* Coordinating store improvements and removing obstacles to service.
* Following health and safety routines and procedures.
* Recognising and celebrating colleagues who deliver great service.

* Be a thoughtful customer service role model.

* Legally meet the minimum age of 18; you must be 18 or over.
