Role Description
Victor Marine are seeking an experienced and driven International Business Development Manager. The role involves identifying and initiating new international business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with global agents and clients, and developing and implementing effective business growth strategies. Responsibilities include driving international sales, managing key accounts, conducting market research, and creating comprehensive business plans to achieve sales and revenue targets. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams to support overall business objectives.
Ideally the candidate would be based in Chesterfield or surrounding areas, but we would consider a “home based role” for the right candidate or a “hybrid situation” to suit both parties. We would envisage approximately 75-100 days a year travel initially in support of our global network of agents, shipyards and re-sellers and supporting our Group Commercial Director in growing the brand and products with new partners and agents.
Experience in the Global Marine industry would be preferred but again we would consider experience within general mechanical and electrical engineering products. Key Responsibilities

* Build and manage long-term relationships with international agents and partner
* Formulate and execute strategies aligned with company objectives
* Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging opportunities
* Represent Victor Marine at international trade shows and exhibitions
Qualifications/Requirements
* Experience in International Business Development and International Business, preferably with Marine industry or other general mechanical and electrical engineering products
* Strong understanding of international markets
* Strong expertise in Business Planning and International Sales.
* Ability to manage client relationships and demonstrate excellent Account Management skills.
* Proficient communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in international markets.
* Understanding of the marine industry and its associated technologies is an advantage.
* Qualification in Business, International Relations, or a related field is preferred.
* Ability to travel internationally as required by the role.
Compensation
Salary (negotiable depending on experience) + Commission+ Benefits
