SEN Teacher - Blandford Forum
Full-time * Monday-Friday * 37.5 hours per week
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our specialist education setting. Our young people all have a diagnosis of ASD, and many have additional complex needs. Every learner receives either 1:1 or 2:1 staffing at all times, ensuring a safe, supportive and highly individualised learning environment.
About the Role
As our SEN Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver motivating, personalised learning experiences for children and young people with ASD.
Create a structured, nurturing environment that supports communication, emotional regulation and independence.
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, support staff and families to ensure consistent, holistic support.
Lead and model best practice in behaviour support and safeguarding.
Use assessment tools to track progress and adapt plans to meet individual needs.
What We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Proven experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly ASD.
An understanding of sensory needs, communication differences and positive behaviour support.
A calm, patient and resilient approach.
Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive, forward-thinking team.
