Our client, a leader in the defence and security sector, is seeking a skilled Platform Software Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role is primarily remote with occasional travel to Warton and Reading, and is part of the Air Business Unit. Key Responsibilities: Developing and maintaining software solutions for defence and security applications Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications Conducting software testing and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables Providing technical support and troubleshooting for existing software platforms Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the software engineering team Documenting software designs, processes, and procedures Travelling occasionally to Warton and Reading as required Job Requirements: Experience in software engineering and development Strong understanding of software engineering principles and methodologies Proficiency in software development languages and tools Ability to work effectively in a remote setup with occasional travel Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to obtain and maintain BPSS SC security clearance Effective communication and collaboration skills Experience in the defence and security sector is a plus Contract Details: Duration: 12 months Fully remote with some travel to Warton and Reading Expenses can be claimed for travel to Reading If you have the expertise and are ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role in the defence and security sector, we invite you to apply now.
