*Job Summary*We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas systems across various settings. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with practical skills in welding, carpentry, and the use of hand and power tools to develop their careers within a reputable organisation.*Duties** Install, service, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.* Conduct safety inspections and testing of gas installations to ensure compliance with legal regulations.* Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialised instruments to carry out repairs and modifications.* Perform routine maintenance tasks on gas equipment and associated mechanical components.* Assist with plumbing tasks related to gas systems, including pipe fitting and leak detection.* Carry out heavy lifting of equipment or materials safely as required for installation or maintenance projects.* Maintain accurate records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and compliance documentation.* Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during operations to minimise risks.*Requirements** Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or similar role with relevant qualifications.* Strong mechanical knowledge with skills in welding, plumbing, carpentry, and assembly work.* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment related to gas systems.* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.* Valid commercial driving licence preferred for transportation between sites.* Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during installations or repairs.* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and compliance documentation.* Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments.* Relevant certifications or licences required by local regulations for gas work.
