An esteemed and top-tier law firm is seeking a Senior Solicitor or Associate to join its expanding Rural Property team in Aberdeen. This is a rare opportunity to work at the forefront of rural legal practice with a firm that has a significant and respected footprint in the Scottish legal landscape.
The Role
You will become a key player in a high-performing team that services a broad client base including estates, rural businesses, community bodies, funders, developers, and public sector organisations across Scotland. You will advise on a wide range of matters such as:
Sales and purchases of estates, farms, forestry and rural land
Natural Capital and biodiversity markets
Agricultural tenancies and land reform
Title queries, lettings, and access disputes
Sporting interests including salmon fishing and grouse moors
Voluntary registration and estate management projects
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a solicitor with 3+ years’ PQE who is passionate about the rural sector and looking to grow their expertise in a collaborative, supportive environment. You should bring:
A strong interest in rural property and land law
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and research skills
A commercial mindset and client-focused approach
Experience managing transactions and advising clients directly
