Teaching Assistant Liverpool Full time to start as soon as possible until the end of the academic year Monday to Friday 8am-3pm Are you motivated, enthusiastic, and passionate about making a difference? We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and forward-thinking team, working with students aged 11–16 who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. About the Role As a Teaching Assistant in our SEMH provision, you will: * Support young people in overcoming barriers to learning, both in and out of the classroom * Build positive, trusting relationships with students to help them feel safe, understood, and valued * Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to deliver tailored support and interventions * Encourage and model positive behaviour, resilience, and emotional regulation * Contribute to a nurturing, inclusive learning environment where every child can succeed What We’re Looking For We’d love to hear from you if you are: * Motivated and genuinely committed to helping young people thrive * Enthusiastic, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn * Team-focused, able to collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for students * Empathetic and patient, with the ability to build strong, supportive relationships * Resilient, understanding that progress can take time—and every small step counts Experience in SEMH, SEN or youth work is beneficial but not essential—we value attitude, commitment, and the desire to grow in the role.
