While prior payroll knowledge is a plus, it's not essential if you bring a positive attitude and strong administrative skills. As a Payroll Services Assistant, your key responsibilities will include: Processing New Starters and Leavers: Ensure accurate and timely actioning of new starters, leavers, and contractual changes in line with monthly deadlines. Contract Production: Assist in the creation of employment contracts and manage maternity administration. Customer Queries: Be the first point of contact for telephone and written inquiries, providing effective and efficient responses. Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, schools, academies, and external clients to deliver a seamless payroll service. Data Management: Maintain accurate payroll and HR data, following prescribed business processes. To succeed in this role, you should possess: Educational Background: GCSE in English and Maths at grade C or equivalent. Technical Skills: Familiarity with payroll systems and IT software, including Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Payroll Processes: Understanding of tax, national insurance, and pension contributions is beneficial.
