Job Description Summary: ROLE AND PURPOSE To support the Marketing Digital Engagement Manager in managing the marketing, audience development and digital engagement resource for the service, ensuring a focus on maintaining numbers whilst increasing participation and dialogue with target / priority groups as set out in the business plan. Deliver specific digital programme and audience engagement activity for the service and engage fully in supporting/delivering other strands of the HMP business plan. The nature of this work will mean the postholder will have to be flexible in their approach to working weekends, evenings and none-core hours. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Support the Marketing Digital Engagement Manager in engagement and consultation undertaken by the museum service to inform the work of the service in delivering audience expectations. To engage the whole service in the delivery of this plan. 2. Support the Marketing Digital Engagement Manager in delivering the PR activities of the service in order to increase user numbers and deliver on the targets outlined in the HMP Business plan. 3. Deliver a range of marketing and digital engagement activity linked to specific outputs across the service. Analysing and evaluating the results in order to inform management decision making. Ensures Hull’s engagement with Arts Council England’s data requirements 4. Assists the Marketing Digital Engagement Manager in developing publicity and marketing material for the activities of the service. 5. Carries out work to evaluate the impact of the exhibitions, events, outreach and digital content of the service, analysing the results and feeding back to the Marketing Digital Engagement Manager. 6. Works with partner organisations such as VHEY, cultural partners, tourist agencies, Co., other cultural bodies under the guidance of the Marketing Digital Engagement Manager 7. Works with our website, databases, mailing lists etc in order to facilitate the promotion of the service’s activities to a wide audience. Leads the service’s social media and online presence managing a number of service wide digital platforms, e-newsletters and uploading content and coordinating the contributions of colleagues to ensure a seamless public presence on a number of social media platforms. 8. Collects a variety of performance data and reports to the Marketing Digital Engagement Manager and project teams on a regular basis. 9. Supports the Marketing Digital Engagement Manager in engaging and liaising with cultural and educational partners, outreach and distribution partners, film-makers, photographers and designers as required. Also working with internal ICT colleagues to procure and setting up IT equipment and infrastructure. 10. Contributes to the development, implementation and monitoring of creative marketing, audience development and digital plans 11. Plan advertising campaigns, and oversee schedules 12. Devise and co-ordinate the production of high quality marketing and audience development materials including print and digital, liaising with designers, agencies and printers as appropriate and proof reading text as required. 13.
