CAD/CAM Programmer – Business Manager Recruiting Automotive, Aerospace and Motorsport in the UK
An established precision engineering company, specialising in complex components for motorsport, automotive, and marine applications, is looking for an experienced CAD/CAM Programmer to join their programming team.
Working on small-batch, high-quality components, this is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in a fast-paced, high-performance sector.
The Role
You will be responsible for creating machining strategies using CAM software to manufacture composite components to customer specifications. This includes programming for 3- and 5-axis machines.
Key Responsibilities
* Generate safe, efficient machining strategies using CAM software based on customer CAD data
* Program 3- and 5-axis CNC machines to manufacture high-precision composite parts
* Interpret technical drawings and tolerance specifications
* Work closely with Workshop and Quality teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Skills & Experience Required
* Proficient in CAM programming, ideally with HyperMill; other CAM packages will also be considered.
* Experience programming for 3- and 5-axis CNC machining centers
* Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, tolerance requirements, and quality standards
* Team player with strong communication skills and a proactive approach
* Interest in motorsport and composite manufacturing (desirable)
