Salary: £15,000 - 15,000 per year Requirements:
* We are looking for candidates with proven experience in network architecture and design using Cisco and Fortinet technologies. A strong background in SD-WAN, particularly with Fortinet solutions, is essential. You should have expertise in Cisco Catalyst Centre deployment and management, along with a deep understanding of network security principles and firewall configuration. Experience with public sector procurement and contract management is also required, as is technical leadership in national communications programs, such as ESN/ESMCP. Familiarity with legacy TETRA Airwave and ICCS systems is a plus.
Responsibilities:
* As a Network Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of complex network solutions, ensuring they align with both business and technical requirements. You will provide technical assurance and review third-party network designs for Cisco and Fortinet technologies. Your role will involve designing, deploying, and managing Fortinet SD-WAN environments while validating third-party proposals. You will deliver and support Cisco Catalyst Centre deployments and apply strong network security expertise to ensure best practices are integrated across all designs. Additionally, you will support public sector procurement by developing technical requirements for tenders and renewals. As the lead technical authority for ESN/ESMCP programs, you will assist in the transition from TETRA Airwave to modern mobile communication platforms.
