The Role
As Legal Counsel, youll provide commercial legal support across the organisation, managing a wide variety of contracts and working directly with the leadership team. Youll have ownership of the companys contracting process and play a vital role in helping the business scale globally.
Key Responsibilities
* Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements (supply, licence, collaboration, NDAs and MOUs)
* Managing legal risk while supporting business growth and innovation
* Advising the CEO and senior management on commercial and contractual matters
* Coordinating with external IP, insurance and legal advisers (UK, US and Europe)
* Developing processes and frameworks for efficient legal operations
* Supporting governance, compliance and due diligence activities
About You
Youre a qualified lawyer with a strong background in commercial contracting, ideally within technology, engineering, IP-led or manufacturing environments. Youll have excellent drafting skills, sound judgement, and the ability to balance legal rigour with commercial pragmatism.
You Will Bring
* Proven experience as Legal Counsel, In-House Lawyer or Commercial Lawyer
* Expertise in UK contract law (and ideally familiarity with US or EU contracts)
* Experience negotiating complex commercial and licensing agreements
* Strong communication and influencing skills
* Ability to work independently with senior stakeholders
* A proactive, solution-focused approach
Experience with IP, product liability, or insurance contracts would be advantageous.
What’s On Offer
* £100,000-£120,000 FTE, depending on experience
* Approx. 20 hours per week, flexible working pattern
