Role Overview
Eunomia are looking for additional temporary resource, probably for 6 months, likely at Financial Controller, or Finance Manager level, to support the finance team through a period of additional work requirements, allowing the Head of Finance to step away from some of the day-to-day detail and focus on strategic work. There are 2 accounts assistants who largely manage AR and AP, so ideally there would also be management and review of their work.
The right person would have experience running finance operations and producing management accounts in a similar sized company, as well as having managed a small team.
Responsibilities:
* Oversight of AR & AP (including expenses)
* Lead on the accurate and timely preparation of monthly management accounts
* Maintenance of balance sheet schedules, preparation and posting of monthly WIP, group consolidation (primarily UK & US, also small NZ subsidiary)
* Meet regulatory responsibilities, file VAT, oversee year-end accounts and audit work
* Opportunity to assist in project work as well, for example redesigning the forecasting model
Desirable skills:
* Proactive problem-solver, not afraid to get stuck in to the detail
* Strong understanding of technical accounting in areas such as revenue recognition and group accounts/consolidation
* Collaborative, professional and flexible approach
* Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
* Experience working in Excel and with financial models
