Business Development Manager

Location: South East & London | Hybrid – 1 day per week in Sevenoaks

Salary: £50,000 basic + double OTE + car allowance

Our client, a rapidly growing facilities maintenance provider, is hiring a Business Development Manager to drive growth across SME, Corporate, and Public Sector markets throughout London and the South East.


Backed by significant investment and with ambitious expansion plans, this role offers the opportunity to play a key part in scaling a high-performing commercial function. You’ll inherit warm opportunities while also building your own pipeline through proactive business development and bid activity.


What you’ll do

* Develop new business opportunities across SME, Corporate, and Public Sector clients
* Manage a mix of warm inbound leads and self-generated prospects
* Build and maintain a strong pipeline of facilities maintenance opportunities
* Lead bid writing and tender submissions for Public Sector and larger commercial contracts
* Conduct client meetings, presentations, and solution-led sales discussions
* Work closely with operational and leadership teams to develop tailored service proposals
* Drive revenue growth across planned and reactive maintenance services
* Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting


You’ll work closely with senior leadership, operations, and bid teams to help shape commercial strategy and support long-term business growth.


What we’re looking for

* Proven experience in business development within facilities management or facilities maintenance services
* Strong track record of winning new business across commercial or public sector environments
* Experience managing tender processes and bid writing activity
* Comfortable generating new leads through outbound business development
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Ability to manage a varied sales cycle across multiple client sectors
