Assistant / Associate / Chair (Professor) in Inflammation (Clinical or non-clinical)Job Type: Full-Time.Starting Salary: Fixed salary plus benefitsTo find out more about the job please click the ‘apply for job’ button to be taken to Imperial job site About the roleApplications are invited for the post of Assistant/Associate Professor/Professor in Inflammation (clinical or non-clinical) to join the Centre for Inflammatory Disease, Department of Immunology and Inflammation within the Faculty of Medicine. You will be offered exciting academic opportunities within an integrated and supportive environment and will contribute to the academic mission of the Department and of Imperial College London to deliver world-class research, education and scholarship. You will also be required to contribute to the administration within the Department. You will have a track record of successfully securing research grants, high-quality research publication and experience in teaching. Imperial is a multidisciplinary space for education, research, translation and commercialisation, harnessing science and innovation to tackle global challenges. You will be expected to broaden the Department's research capabilities, while complementing our existing strengths. What we are looking forFull GMC (General Medical Council) registration or eligibility for registration within 6 months of the date of the appointmentAppropriate specialist qualification or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the appointmentA national/ international reputation and expertise in the field of inflammation or immunology or related area commensurate with the gradeAn ability to raise significant research funding from a variety of sources, commensurate with your career stage.A proven track record in conducting high quality independent research, as evidenced by high quality publications in peer reviewed journalsExperience of supervision of higher degrees (PhD), MD(Res))Experience of supervising medical staff, if relevantAppropriate level of clinical knowledge, if relevantUnderstanding of clinical risk management, if relevantExperience of developing skills in leading, motivating, developing and managing the performance of colleagues.An effective communicator, conveying ideas and concepts clearly and effectively to a range of audiences through a variety of methods and media.Evidence of expertise in an appropriate fieldFull information on duties, responsibilities and criteria for the post can be found in the attached Job Description.What we can offer youGrow in your career with tailored training programmes for staff including dedicated support with navigating your career and managing research as well as a transparent promotion process.
