We are currently seeking an organised and hands-on Stores Operative to join our team on a full time and permanent basis.
Hours: 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday
Location: Yateley, Hampshire
In this role, you’ll have full responsibility for managing goods in and out, maintaining accurate stock control, and ensuring that goods are recieved, stored and distributed efficiently and accurately. You’ll also play a key part in ensuring our equipment, vehicles, and facilities are well-maintained, organised, and operating efficiently.
Stores Management:
* Receive, check, and log incoming deliveries.
* Pick, pack, and dispatch goods.
* Maintain accurate stock records, carry out regular stock counts and report discrepancies.
* Keep storage areas clean, safe, and well-organised.
Vehicle Maintenance:
* Coordinate vehicle servicing, repairs, and inspections according to maintenance schedules.
* Conduct basic vehicle checks (fluids, tyres etc).
* Liaise with drivers and suppliers to ensure timely maintenance and repairs.
* Support the allocation, cleanliness, and readiness of company vehicles.
Facilities Support:
* Assist in maintaining the overall condition and safety of company premises.
* Assist with annual inspections of tools and equipment, including conducting PAT Testing (full training provided).
* Coordinate building maintenance and minor repairs.
* Assist with general site upkeep, waste management, and occasional project support.
* Support compliance with health, safety and fire policies
* Conduct fire alarm testing and assist with fire drills and emergencies.
Who are we looking for?
* Previous experience working in a stores environment
* Full UK Driving License
* Forklift licence preferred
* Computer literate with good knowledge of MS office, particularly excel
