Mane Contract Services is currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join a leading electrical contractor working across Europe. The successful candidate will be based in either Slane or Armagh, with occasional travel to other offices. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a wide range of mission-critical construction projects within sectors such as data centres, pharmaceuticals, renewables, power generation, and critical infrastructure.
Role Overview
The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for producing accurate and timely electrical tenders for both pre-designed and design & build projects. You will support the commercial team by developing estimates, coordinating with internal departments, and liaising with external suppliers and clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the full estimating process from tender receipt to submission.
* Prepare and maintain tender documentation, estimates, and tracking tools.
* Perform material take-offs for LV/MV cabling and containment systems from drawings.
* Input take-offs and quotations into estimating templates.
* Create bills of quantities, work schedules, and contractor proposals to support bids.
* Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure accurate pricing.
* Assist in project handover to the operations and delivery teams.
* Collaborate closely with Contracts Managers, Quantity Surveyors, and Design/Engineering teams.
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience as an estimator or strong electrical background.
* Excellent understanding of electrical drawings and specifications.
* Self-motivated with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
* High attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
* Strong communication and organisational abilities.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Minimum 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
