Location: Glemsford Primary Academy, 29 Lion Road, Glemsford, Sudbury, CO10 7RF
Contract Dates: 3rd November – 15th December 2025
Hours: Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM (12.5 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour (PAYE)

Vertas Group Limited is seeking a committed and detail-oriented Cleaner to support the facilities team at Glemsford Primary Academy. This part-time afternoon role plays a vital part in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment for pupils and staff alike.

Role Duties:
* Cleaning classrooms, offices, toilets, corridors, and shared areas
* Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, and wiping down surfaces
* Emptying bins and managing safe waste disposal
* Following cleaning schedules and adhering to site safety standards
* Reporting maintenance issues or health & safety concerns

Candidate Profile:
* Reliable and punctual with good attention to detail
* Able to work independently to a high standard
* Previous cleaning experience is helpful but not essential
* Must be eligible to work in the UK and able to provide references
Requirements
Compliance Requirements:
As this role is based in a school setting, the following checks and documents are required:
* Enhanced DBS Check with Barred List – current or willing to obtain
* CV and proof of right to work in the UK
* Proof of address and National Insurance number
* 3 years of employment or character references
* Overseas Police Check (if applicable)
