Overview
Deliver first‑class recruitment and outreach for Buckinghamshire New University, supporting the Recruitment and Outreach Manager in all phases of the applicant journey from enquiry to enrolment.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement the recruitment strategy for target markets across the UK.
* Design interactive online and offline content for young people, families and teachers.
* Deliver engaging presentations and workshops for prospective students, applicants and teachers.
* Manage a network of contacts in schools and colleges to promote recruitment activities.
* Evaluate activities to track and monitor student engagement.
* Network with colleagues in other HEIs to share best practice.
* Attend recruitment fairs and provide accurate information on the university and its courses.
* Research trends and best practice across the UK education sector to inform provision.
* Provide professional advice to academic teams on outreach activities.
* Maintain GDPR compliant data records.
* Follow safeguarding procedures and pass a DBS check.
* Undertake any other responsibilities as required by the Recruitment and Outreach Manager.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
* Degree or equivalent experience in education.
* Experience delivering student recruitment/outreach activities in higher education.
* Experience designing and delivering presentations, workshops, and sessions for secondary school students.
* Experience working with young people, parents and/or advisers/influencers.
* Experience networking and building professional relationships.
* Knowledge of the UK Higher Education sector and undergraduate admissions procedures.
* Knowledge of national agendas relating to recruitment of students from non‑traditional backgrounds.
Key Skills
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Excellent presentation skills.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software quickly.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
* Ability to engage and build relationships with prospective students, teachers, parents, careers advisers and agents.
* Ability to deliver and receive feedback effectively.Initiative to solve everyday problems.
* Flexibility to support colleagues across teams.

Special Requirements
* DBS clearance.
* Willingness and ability to travel to off‑site locations.
* Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
* Full, clean UK driving licence.
* Ability to schedule leave outside busy periods.
