Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic Community Hub Coordinator to support our teams and service users within Community Health Services for Nursing and Therapy, based primarily at St Luke's Hospital in Market Harborough with occasional shifts at Springfield Road Health Centre in Leicester.
The service operates 08.00 to 18.00, Monday to Sunday, so the post requires full flexibility to cover all shifts, including weekends and bank holidays. Weekend shifts attract enhancements.
Responsibilities
The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently across community settings, maintaining flexibility and contributing effectively within a team. The main duties include:
* General administrative tasks and use of the electronic patient record system (SystmOne).
* Processing referrals, managing tasks, supporting data collection for audits, and ensuring accurate data entry.
* Supporting Community Nursing and Therapy teams, Team Leads, and clinicians, including ordering and monitoring equipment and supplies.
* Using initiative to adapt to changing demands.
Qualifications & Experience
* GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
* NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration (or equivalent).
* Experience in the NHS or a similar complex organisation.
* Background in a customer service environment.
* Experience handling varied and changing administrative demands.
Knowledge & Skills
* Administrative/clerical experience.
* IT literate, including SystmOne, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email and internet.
* Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Able to work independently and use initiative.
Requirements
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* Availability to cover all shifts including weekends and bank holidays.
* Must be able to travel between dual sites and have access to a vehicle; free parking is available.
* Full authentication of DBS disclosure required.
