Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Long-Term Contract
Location: Bedfordshire
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start Date: ASAP
Newstaff Education division are currently looking for a passionate and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant and supportive school on a long-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support teaching and learning across the school, covering planned absences and PPA time.
* Lead small group interventions and whole class sessions where required.
* Assist in planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons under the guidance of the class teacher.
* Provide targeted support to pupils with additional learning needs.
* Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to raise achievement and ensure inclusion.
Requirements:
* Proven experience working in a UK primary or secondary school setting.
* Confident in delivering lessons to whole classes.
* Strong communication, organisational and behaviour management skills.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
