We are looking for a kind, compassionate and caring kitchen staff member to join our team at Ainsdale Court.
We are a 46-bed nursing home located in St Helens, providing care for elderly residents in a friendly and family cultured environment.
About you:
Good communication skills
Team player and ability to work on own initiative.
Self-motivated and well organised, able to work well under pressure and be flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the home
Job Description:
Serve hot and cold meals and drinks
Being aware of varied preferences and dietary requirements of individual residents
Participate in staff and resident meetings
Maintain accurate records of food supplies and freezer/fridge temperatures
Conduct stock rotation, ordering and delivery checks
Ensure all crockery and equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately
Carry out overall cleaning of kitchen and dining areas effectively
Report to the Home Manager or the maintenance officer of any faulty appliances, damaged furniture, equipment or any other potential hazard
Ensure safe working practices in the home.
Maintain and improve knowledge and competence
Attend mandatory training days/courses, on or off site when required
Carry out other tasks that may be reasonably assigned to you
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 16 per week
