Responsibilities
* Work as part of a team to schedule and book patient appointments for radiotherapy
* Provide a courteous scheduling service to patients and carers
* Communicate, mainly by phone, with patients & carers and the wider MDT regarding radiotherapy appointments
* Liaise with the Radiographers regarding patient appointment
* Co‑ordinate the SABR MDT & collect data; postholder will have access to vulnerable people and must undergo Disclosure and Barring Service clearance under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974
We are looking for a caring and highly motivated Radiotherapy Scheduling Co‑Ordinator to join our friendly and welcoming radiotherapy team at the Oxford Cancer Centre. You will be part of a team committed to providing a high‑quality, caring and compassionate service for patients. The role is essential to ensure the efficient pathway flow of patients through the Radiotherapy department. Good communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills are essential for informing patients of their appointments and discussing with the wider team, as well as being compassionate and adaptable. You should be flexible in your approach to work, able to act on your own initiative, and have good computer skills. Our department prides itself on a strong culture of learning and support, and we offer a comprehensive induction & training programme.
Qualifications
* GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, grades A‑C, excellent customer care and communication
* Ability to adapt communication style as required, MS Office and applications (including Word, Excel and Outlook)
* Previous administration experience
