About The Role
Connect Plus Services (CPS) operates and maintains the M25 motorway network, including all adjoining trunk and slip roads on behalf of Connect Plus. The M25 is one of the busiest sections of road in the UK and a key infrastructure asset. CPS carries out routine maintenance, winter maintenance, and manages the whole‑life requirements of over 250,000 assets. We also manage the operation of the network, identify ways of reducing delays, and improve journey time reliability.
Our 600+ staff use a range of desktop and mobile IT applications – Agile Assets, Unity, KOREC, Inform, Esri, Power BI – backed by Microsoft SQL and Oracle databases. These systems support incident response, inventory management, inspections, maintenance activities, in‑depth data analysis, and intervention planning. CPS also trials and implements new technology on the network.
What you'll be doing
* Set up, maintain, and run test suites for browser and app‑based applications
* Establish a range of testing capabilities, including unit testing, integration testing, UAT, and potentially test automation
* Manage and track bugs / issues
* Contribute to the requirements and design stages of projects, bringing testing knowledge and planning to the process
* Collaborate closely with project team members and stakeholders, building effective relationships

* Support the delivery of Connect Plus Services Sustainability activities
Who we're looking for
* At least two years’ experience in software testing, including unit testing, integration testing, UAT and potentially automated testing
* An understanding of spatial data and linear referencing systems / models
* Ability to trace data flows through client‑server systems and diagnose issues
* Excellent interpersonal and team working skills
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Highly organised and with attention to detail
* Strong numeracy and analytical skills
* Flexible, motivated and able to persevere in challenging situations
* MS Office (Word, Excel)
