We’re recruiting a Part-Time Health & Safety Officer to join a dynamic and supportive team at a well-established production site in Howden. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional who wants to make a real impact in a standalone role. You'll be the go-to person for all things health and safety, supporting the business with hands-on expertise, strategic insight, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. What You’ll Be Doing: * Delivering a professional and proactive Health & Safety service across the site. * Advising senior leaders and line managers on H&S policies, risk assessments, and procedures. * Leading workplace inspections, accident investigations, and compliance audits. * Managing statutory safety checks and driving near-miss reporting and safety engagement. * Updating and maintaining documentation including SOPs, COSHH, and emergency plans. * Delivering inductions, toolbox talks, and H&S training sessions. What We’re Looking For: * NEBOSH General Certificate (essential); NEBOSH Diploma or IOSH membership (desirable). * Strong working knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation. * Confident communicator and influencer across all levels of the business. * Experience of delivering H&S training and managing audits. * Computer literate and highly organised. * A self-starter who is reliable, detail-driven and thrives in a hands-on environment.
