We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior QA Auditor to join our Quality Department on a 12-month fixed term contract.
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the quality and process audit service to the factories and all associated storage units in order to ensure the objectives and procedures detailed in the quality manual are achieved and to ensure the safety, legality and quality of the product are achieved and maintained.
An overview of the role below:
1. To assist in the operation of the QA function by maintaining satisfactory standards of performance with regard to food safety, hygiene, discipline and health and safety and to bring all the issues arising from these duties to the attention of the Site QA Manager or Company Quality Manager
2. To complete the daily tasks of the QA in their absence, tasks include:
3. Glass & plastic audits
4. Foreign body audits
5. Ingredient shelf-life monitoring
6. Process checks
7. Assisting the department in preparation for /factory/SSF in preparing for customer visits/audits
8. Training and development and performance monitoring of the Quality Auditors
9. Maintaining satisfactory standards of food safety and hygiene, and to resolve any associated issues, where this is not possible issues are to be brought to the attention of the site Quality Assurance Manager.
10. Management of Yearly Senior QA schedule
11. Traceability & monthly mass balance
12. Liaising with external laboratory
13. Organising lab schedule and lab sheet,
14. Action any out of specification results including finished product, air plates, hand swabs, food contact packaging & water sampling.
15. Ordering ad repair of equipment such as Scales, Probes, pH meters.
16. Liaise with factory operations to resolve factory issues.
17. Oversee Pest Control.
18. Oversee FBI, Assist with Customer Complaint Investigations
19. Assist with weekly/monthly reports –
20. Assisting in any customer complaint investigations
21. Project work as and when required. To perform other tasks which are of a reasonable request in line with the QA department
22. Attending factory trials, launches and various meetings including attendance to the morning meeting in the absence of the Quality Manager.
23. Assisting NPD by attending panels and trials; ensuring product ready for launch (red and green standards/line progressives complete, cintex etc)
24. Issuing and reporting non conformances
25. Placing non-conforming stock on hold
26. Issuing concessions (with the guidance from Site QA Manager)
27. To ensure the hold procedure is followed correctly for any non-conforming raw materials and finished product.
28. Ensure all CCP and food safety training in up to date and captured in the Skills Matrix
Candidates should have previous QA experience within the food industry. Excellent organisation skills are key with HACCP knowledge.
