Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Joiner to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various kitchen and composite structures. This role requires a strong understanding of carpentry, joinery, and the use of hand and power tools. The ideal applicant will have experience in construction environments, including roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and construction painting. Responsibilities
* Install structures such as doors, windows, cabinets, and customised fittings on-site or in workshops
* Kitchen installation
* Conduct precise measurements and cut materials to specified dimensions
* Assist with roofing tasks, including fitting trusses and sheathing
* Perform heavy lifting safely to move materials or equipment as required
* Carry out construction painting to ensure finished surfaces meet quality standards
* Support plumbing, masonry, or electrical tasks where applicable within project scope
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment to adhere to safety regulations
* Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure project deadlines are met
Experience
* Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, and carpentry work within the construction industry
* Familiarity with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and screwdrivers
* Proficiency with power tools including drills, sanders, and saws
* Knowledge of joinery techniques for creating durable wooden joints and fittings
* Experience working on roofing projects or in masonry is advantageous
* Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and efficiently during material handling
* Electrical experience or knowledge of plumbing systems is desirable but not essential
* Prior involvement in construction painting or finishing trades is beneficial
