Venatu Recruitment is pleased to announce that an industry-leading client based in Peterborough is seeking an Electrical Biased Maintenance Engineer to join their team at the Peterborough site as soon as possible. They specialize in the Insulated Glass systems industry and are the UK's leading company in this field, as well as the largest insulated glass manufacturer in Europe. The company prides itself on being at the forefront of the industry, with a strong reputation and track record of excellence. Due to ongoing growth, they are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer immediately.
This is a full-time position offering a salary of £46,300 per year, working on a Days + Afters shift pattern.
Working hours are 6AM - 2PM and 2PM - 10PM on a weekly rotation.
Job duties include:
1. Collaborating with the production team to minimize machinery downtime and conduct preventative maintenance to avoid disruptions.
2. Supporting the engineering team and identifying ways to improve plant productivity.
3. Investigating and diagnosing causes of breakdowns and machinery speed losses, recording repairs to recognize recurrent faults.
4. Completing PPMS and RPMS documentation.
5. Maintaining, inspecting, and repairing mechanical and electrical plant and machinery on-site.
6. Working on mechanical systems such as drive train systems, rollers, gearboxes, shafts, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
7. Working on electrical systems including single and three-phase systems, servo motors, AC motors, sensors, and control systems.
Candidate requirements:
1. Multi-skilled, preferably with an electrical bias.
2. NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent, or relevant experience (time served).
3. Experience working with single and three-phase systems, servo motors, AC motors, sensors, and control systems.
4. Experience with drive train systems, rollers, gearboxes, shafts, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
5. Strong organizational skills.
