Overview
We are seeking a Lead Clinician to manage our in-house Clinical Team at Hemlock Stone School – Nottinghamshire. The postholder will work collaboratively with the school’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Regional Clinical Lead. The role will be split between clinically leading the team and holding a therapy caseload, delivering bespoke assessment and intervention plans for students who may present with complex profiles of need as a result of autism, other neurodivergence, developmental trauma and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Meeting EHCP needs will be a primary focus, using target-led, OFG “all”, “group” and “individual” clinical ways of working embedded into our clinical practice. The postholder will coordinate the line management of onsite clinical team members and lead the development of the school-based clinical service alongside the school SLT and Regional Clinical Lead.
Location
Hemlock Stone School – Nottinghamshire NG9 8GA. Hemlock Stone School forms part of our Options Autism brand, and is an independent specialist day school for children and young people aged 7–18.
Essential Criteria
* Degree qualification in a specific discipline (OT/SALT/Psychotherapy). Leadership and Management experience essential. 5 years clinical experience.
* Valid and up-to-date professional registration and membership of a professional body (e.g., BPS).
* Experience with autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs.
* Clear and concise report writing related to clinical and research activities.
* Experience providing supervision and supporting a therapy team.
* Ability to work independently and to work dynamically within a growing and developing clinical service.
* Experience of multi-professional work with teams or services within the designated specialty (preferred).
* Full UK valid driving licence and access to own vehicle.
Responsibilities
* Lead the in-house Clinical Team and collaborate with the school SLT and Regional Clinical Lead.
* Split time between clinical leadership and maintaining a therapy caseload; deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for pupils with complex profiles of need (autism, neurodivergence, developmental trauma and SEMH).
* Coordinate line management of the onsite clinical team and lead on the service development of the school-based clinical service.
* Maintain a person-centred, empowering approach, prioritising safeguarding and pupil involvement in decisions that affect them.
* Collaborate to enhance the quality of life and outcomes for pupils within an educational setting.
