The Role
You'll become an integral part of a vibrant teaching team, responsible for:
* Planning, delivering, and assessing GCSE Maths and Essential Skills Numeracy.
* Acting as class tutor, offering administrative and pastoral support.
* Co-ordinating delivery and assessment across programmes.
* Developing and promoting ILT and library resources to enhance learning.
* Participating in quality assurance, continuous improvement, and compliance with awarding body standards.
* Engaging with external stakeholders to promote the provision.
* Supporting recruitment, induction, and marketing activity across the college.
This role requires a flexible approach, with occasional evening work expected.
The Ideal Candidate
* Hold GCSE English and Maths (A-C) or equivalent Essential Skills qualifications
* Educated to degree level with at least 50% of the course content in Mathematics
* Experience delivering/tutoring Essential Skills Numeracy or GCSE Mathematics
* Excellent administrative and planning skills
* Strong interpersonal and communication ability
Desirable:
* A recognised teaching qualification
* Experience in delivering Essential Skills Literacy or ICT
