The Role
Are you a Marketing professional looking for an opportunity where you can lead on driving strategic brand and portfolio management? As a Category Marketing Manager, here at Imperial Brands you will shape the portfolio and brand direction for our Oral Nicotine Devices (OND) portfolio within our UK&I Cluster—identifying target consumers, defining portfolio and brand strategies, that inspire growth and innovation.
This is a pivotal leadership role where you will deliver first-class brand guidelines, assets, and toolkits, ensuring OND strategies resonate across the Cluster. Principle Accountabilities
1. Drive global strategies locally — implement and adapt brand, category and portfolio plans across defined markets, aligning with consumer trends, insights, and market requirements.
2. Own performance & impact — monitor results vs. targets, identify best practices and deliver continuous improvement.
3. Build brand presence — lead awareness, activation, and performance initiatives, to ensure flawless execution.
4. Collaborate at every level — partner with global directors, marketing, insights and commercial leaders and external suppliers to define delivery plans and go‑to‑market releases in line with governance standards.
5. Activate across multiple channels — plan media activation campaigns that are insight‑driven and successfully implemented across diverse platforms, while keeping compliance with regulatory requirements.
6. Lead and inspire teams — manage direct reports, coach talent, and embed Imperial’s Values & Behaviours while driving excellence through new processes, tools, and standards.
Skills and Experience Required
7. Proven expertise in brand and portfolio management, with a track record of delivering strategies that drive growth and performance across multiple markets.
8. Highly collaborative leader, skilled at building strong cross‑functional relationships with global, cluster and agency partners to ensure alignment and excellence.
9. Marketing experience within an understanding of restricted industries, demonstrating the ability to adapt strategies to complex regulatory environments while maintaining compliance and impact.
10. Insight‑driven decision maker, adept at leveraging customer and market intelligence to unlock commercial opportunities and deliver measurable gains.
11. Portfolio optimisation experience, successfully managing and enhancing the performance of major brands to maximise equity, positioning, and profitability.
12. Sector knowledge in FMCG (highly desirable), bringing an understanding of consumer trends, innovation pipelines, and multi‑channel activation in fast‑moving environments.
