Overview
We re on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people. Our residential service is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same. You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing activities.
This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone’s life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.
Responsibilities
* Provide care and support to individuals in a residential setting, promoting independence and life skills.
* Assist with personal care and daily living activities as required.
* Encourage engagement with local communities and social activities.
* Plan and participate in activities (e.g., outings to bars/pubs, cinema, gaming) to support well-being and enjoyment.
* Work within a team to deliver consistent, person-centred support.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice (preferred).
* Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma (preferred).
* Right values: resilience, flexibility, composure, and a genuine caring attitude.
* Experience is not required to be a fantastic Support Worker; a passion for enhancing quality of life and a willingness to learn is essential.
Contract and Working Hours
Contract: 20 hours per week, must be fully flexible. Typical shifts are a mixture of 21:00–07:00, Monday–Sunday rota basis; flexibility is required.
