Position Details:
Job Title: SEND Teacher/ Head of Year
Location: Skipton, North Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time, ongoing.
Daily Rate: £168.80 – £232.57 per day
About the role:
* Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons aligned to the National Curriculum
* Plan and prepare lessons that cater to the full ability range within the classroom
* Support pupils’ academic progress through effective differentiation and assessment
* Work closely with other staff to ensure a consistent and inclusive learning experience
* Create a positive classroom culture that promotes curiosity, achievement, and respect
* Contribute to departmental planning and wider school life as required
The ideal candidate will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Have strong subject knowledge of SEND.
* Have previous experience as a Head of Year (desirable)
* Be confident in planning and delivering lessons to mixed-ability groups
* Demonstrate good classroom management and a clear passion for teaching
* Be proactive, organised, and a strong team player
* Be committed to safeguarding and student wellbeing
