Role Purpose
The Business Development Director will drive the organisation’s growth strategy by identifying new opportunities, securing major contracts through bid writing and tender submissions, and managing key client accounts to ensure long-term relationships and repeat business in both contract catering and cleaning sectors. This role is pivotal in positioning the company as a market leader and delivering measurable results aligned with corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership
* Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with company goals.
* Identify and pursue new markets, partnerships, and acquisition opportunities.
* Collaborate with leadership to integrate business development objectives into organisational KPIs.
* Lead the preparation and submission of competitive bids and tenders to win contracts.
* Coordinate input from relevant teams to ensure compliance and compelling proposals.
* Maintain a pipeline of tender opportunities and manage submission timelines.
* Account Management
* Manage key client accounts, ensuring strong relationships and high levels of satisfaction.
* Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to maximise revenue.
* Act as the primary point of contact for strategic clients.
* Relationship Building
* Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, partners, and industry influencers.
* Represent the company at networking events, conferences, and client meetings.
* Commercial Negotiation
* Lead negotiations for strategic deals, joint ventures, and partnerships.
* Ensure agreements deliver value and align with organisational objectives.

* Proven experience in senior business development or commercial leadership roles.
* Strong expertise in bid writing, tender management, and account management.
